The next DLA Practitioners' Group Meeting will be on 6 June

The DLA Practitioners' Group meeting on Wednesday, 6th June 2018 will start at 6:00 pm and be followed by drinks and nibbles.

The topic is Home Office v Windrush Generation: the origins and future of the hostile environment and Windrush Scandal

PGM panel of Jamie Beagnet (Leigh Day) and Brian Dikoff (Migrants Organise) discussing their analysis of how the Windrush scandal unfolded, the effects of the Immigration Act 2014 and the future of immigration law and justice. Jamie works supporting Windrush migrants through litigation. Brian and the team at Migrants Organise lead work against the hostile environment agenda and are developing a project about supporting migrants with mental capacity issues. Both speakers shall share their insights from working with migrant communities affected by the hostile environment, policy and law and its impact on increasing discrimination based on race and nationality.
