The IEDP has various levels of membership, for individuals:
- Associate Member (AssocIEDP) (including concessionary rates for retired people, students and people working in a voluntary capacity)
- Membership (MIEDP)
- Fellowship (FIEDP or FIEDP(Reg))
- Honorary Fellowship (FIEDP or FIEDP(Reg)) (awarded by invitation to those who have given outstanding service to the profession or the Institute
